In this illustrated talk Dr. Ken Hafertepe of Baylor University will take you on a guided tour of central Texas houses of the 1840s and 1850s, including the French Legation, the Governor’s Mansion, and the E. S. C. Robertson house in Salado.
He will discuss how people arranged their domestic space and how they furnished it, showing examples from important collections of early Texas furniture.
