Join us at the Gault Site for a tour to learn about the many artifacts excavated and the Paleoindian culture found right here in Bell County! All tours are fully guided by an archaeologist of the Gault School across the 2.5 miles site. This is not an active dig site, however, research is still being conducted on the over one million artifacts found at the site.
All attendees meet at the site at 9:30am. The tour will begin promptly at 10:00am. The site is 30 minutes from Belton, between Salado and Florence.
Pre-registration is required. The Gault School charges $20 per adult (14 years and older), $10 (8-13 years old), and kids under 8 years old are free. A museum representative will contact attendees 10 days prior to the tour to confirm and gather payment. All proceeds go directly to the Gault School of Archaeological Research.
**The Gault School requires a minimum of 15 attendees for the tour to be conducted and tours are subject to cancelation by the Gault School based on this standard.**
The Bell County Museum accepts no liability for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or any other incident which may occur in the course of the tour of the Gault Site.
